Protecting our water sources

Eugene was chosen as Oakshire’s location in part due to the accessibility of clean, soft water from the McKenzie River. Since 2013, Oakshire Brewing has partnered with our local land conservation group, the McKenzie River Trust. One percent of Watershed IPA sales revenue is set aside for the protection of local watersheds in the territories where the beer is sold, helping to preserve the clean water that is so vital to our community and our beer.

After a short pause, we’re excited to welcome our community back to Oakshire Commons this Friday, September 4 at 12 pm 🍻🍕

The support for Oakshire Commons—and especially for the team behind it—has meant so much to us. You showed up, reached out, shared ideas, and reminded us how important this gathering place has become in Downtown Springfield.

We called this a pause because we wanted the opportunity to rethink how Commons could operate successfully for the long term. We were able to put together a plan much faster than expected, and reopening quickly was important to us—not only so we could welcome our community back, but so we could provide greater stability and security for our incredible Commons team.

We’re starting with what we already do well: Oakshire beer, Detroit-style pizza, and a welcoming place to gather. From there, we’re excited to grow.

Based in part on what we’ve heard from you, we’re working to bring TVs to Commons so we can gather around our favorite games. We’re also developing a morning coffee program for Downtown Springfield. You won’t see everything on reopening day, but we’re excited about what’s ahead and will continue rolling out thoughtful changes over time.
