Best known as “Alty,” Chris Althouse is a native Oregonian with a penchant for hard work and outdoor adventures. He founded Oakshire Brewing alongside his brother in 2006, and spent several years getting the company started. He then spent 11 years with acclaimed Corvallis brewery, Block 15, building and leading their Sales & Distribution teams. Re-joining Oakshire in 2021 as Operations Director, Chris has an endlessly positive outlook on life, and uses his exceptional logistical skills to get the freshest beer out into the market!
Interesting facts
An avid mountain biker, he entered his first Enduro Race in June 2021, which he completed in 13th place (out of 32) with no crashes, even though it was an extremely technical course! He also volunteers as a middle school mountain bike coach with the NICA Corvallis Composite Team.
