Donation Request

Supporting our community is a core value for Oakshire. We’re committed to supporting 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working in the communities we serve through donations of gift certificates, merchandise, and beer. We have created the following guidelines to help us manage the donation and sponsorship requests we receive. These guidelines aim to help us focus our giving programs on our core values.

Oakshire supports nonprofit organizations within Eugene, Springfield, and NE Portland working on causes that align with our core values. To be considered for an in-kind donation, the nonprofit must do work in one or more of the following areas:

Watersheds: One of the best things about life in the Willamette Valley is the water. Healthy watersheds provide delicious drinking water and endless outdoor recreation opportunities. Oakshire has long supported the stewardship of our clean waterways with our 1% for Watersheds program. Since 2013, we’ve donated 1% of Watershed IPA sales revenue to groups working to preserve the waters of the communities we serve. Oakshire is proud to partner with groups protecting our natural lands and waterways for future generations.

Opportunity for All: We believe providing access to supportive social services is one of the most effective ways to reduce poverty, houselessness, and social injustices. We believe that education and strengths-based work provide pathways for people to make decisions that benefit themselves and the communities around them. To Oakshire, that means supporting nonprofit organizations in the communities we serve that provide structures to create long-term housing, reduce income disparities, and provide wraparound services.

Education: As passionate lifelong learners, we understand that a practical education provides the foundation to help children and adolescents become self-reliant adults who positively contribute to their communities. To help facilitate this process, Oakshire supports schools and organizations like traditional public education groups (PTAs and Boosters), outdoor education programs, physical activity programs, and opportunities for disadvantaged children and youth.

The Commons: Public places have extraordinary power to connect people and communities. In service to our communities, we support the common areas that serve all of us. To Oakshire, that means supporting nonprofit organizations that steward and champion our parks, wild spaces, plazas, public squares, and gathering places that welcome all.

We also require that your organization meet the following requirements:

  • You are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. When you submit your request, we require that you upload your IRS determination letter or EIN.
  • The donation request must be submitted at least 30 days before your requested pickup date.
  • The donation must be picked up from either the Eugene Public House at 207 Madison or the Portland Beer Hall at 5013 NE 42nd Avenue.
  • Your organization must follow state liquor licensing laws if the donation request includes beer.
  • The donation is for a project within the city limits of the communities we serve Eugene, Springfield, and Portland.

While we wish we could support every amazing nonprofit in our communities, submitting a request does not guarantee a donation. Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are only able to contact organizations selected to receive a donation. If we can fulfill your donation, a member of our team will contact you. Please do not call our taprooms to follow up on a donation request.
