Hop Harvest 2019

Archived
  • September 2019

For this years’ fresh hop, we decided to switch up brewing and techniques to showcase two of our favorite NW grown varieties. Our base is a hazy IPA whose malt bill lies somewhere between Oakshire Hazy and Dino’s. We will first receive Oregon grown Citra from Coleman Agriculture in Gervais, OR. We’ll start the brew as the heads north to grab the hops and rush them back to the brewery. Once brew day is complete we’ll send it off to the fermenter with our favorite hazy yeast strain. A couple days later Coleman will begin harvesting Oregon grown Mosaic. We’ll start the brew and make the trek to Gervais again for some more freshies and repeat the process as we did the day before. Once both beers have completed fermentation we’ll blend the two beer into a single tank. Here the beer will be dry-hopped with 2018 harvest Citra and Mosaic pellets. A multi-hop fresh harvest beer that will surely by a unique and awesome drinking experience.
