Do you know how far we distribute?

We may not have made a big deal out of it last month, but you can now find Oakshire beer as far north as Seattle. That makes our distribution area from Southern Oregon thru Seattle Washington. And for all you Washingtonians, if you can't find us, let your favorite place know that Odom covers the whole state for Oakshire, except for SW Washington/Vancouver where we have Stein selling our beer.

Change is afoot here at the brewery and our newest endeavor/adventure is a remodel of our tasting room. The Oakshire tasting room; which, incidentally used to be an old closet where Oakshire co-founder Chris Althouse stored his DJ equipment in the early days of the brewery, contines to evolve. What started as a closet was remodeled to a slightly bigger space without doors is now undergoing another face lift.

Special Surprises await you at the Tasting Room

Our beers seem to come and go and fly off the taps faster than I can tell you about them, but look what we have for the lineup this week. Lil' Smokey is a beer we are calling a Petite Smoked Porter, but more on that in a moment. I also went digging into the cooler and found a 2010 Very Ill Tempered Gnome. This is an Imperial version of our winter seasonal, Ill Tempered Gnome. We only have enough for growlers, tasters and on Friday and Saturday (if it lasts), pints. It's 9.1 %, so come get a little winter in August!

Next Single Batch Series Beer kicks of with an American Craft Beer Week party at Suds & Suds with Block 15

What happens when two neighboring brewers meet up to make a beer for the sole reason of getting together at one of their favorite Corvallis hangouts and drinking said beer together? Cooperative Suds IPA happens, that's what. Nick Arzner from Block 15 in Corvallis and our very own Matt Van Wyk were asked to do a promotional night at Suds & Suds. They figured that if they were going to spend three hours together, they might as well make a beer.
