Egads – Our Tasting Room is under construction!

Change is afoot here at the brewery and our newest endeavor/adventure is a remodel of our tasting room. The Oakshire tasting room; which, incidentally used to be an old closet where Oakshire co-founder Chris Althouse stored his DJ equipment in the early days of the brewery, contines to evolve. What started as a closet was remodeled to a slightly bigger space without doors is now undergoing another face lift. Oakshire has the supreme luxury and convenience of having Ehlers Construction as our next door neighbor! The Ehlers crew was out this morning knocking down walls and preparing the space. Our newly improved room will have ten taps with a nitro faucet, a dishwasher which we are most excited about, a small cooler and a toaster oven for some very basic pub fare. Counters are being built along with another beautiful bar with wood sourced from Urban Lumber Co.

Our intent is to continue to provide a welcoming, authentic brewery experience to everyone who visits Oakshire while adding some efficientcies that make our space an even better place to frequent! Expect to see some slight remodel messiness during the process and we apologize in advance.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Oakshire Brewing. Without you all drinking and buying our beer we would still be serving our ales from the closet! Check out the progress by visiting us during dock sales M-F, 3-6pm. And don’t forget tours and tastings are on Saturdays 12-4pm. Live music at the brewery today from 4-6pm.
