Come meet Devour at the Oakshire Tasting Room this Saturday!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope you had a very restful holiday and aren’t letting the hustle and bustle of Christmas and all it’s commercialism get you down.  I had a little downtime as I hosted my parents for their first ever trip to the state of Oregon. We got a few house projects done, took a tour of the coast and most importantly rested and recharged. I highly recommend that last part! Thanks for the help Dad!

As with the rest of the world, there is A LOT going on this week. First and foremost, if you find yourself around PDX, you must stop by the Holiday Ale Festival. It runs Wed-Sun, and while it will be my first time attending, I’ve heard great things about this event. Our Very Ill Tempered Gnome will be pouring. This is a one -off and very hard to find beer.  4 days in the heart of downtown Portland. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Secondly, let’s not forget about the Civil war game Thursday night. Go Ducks! (Unless you are one of our Corvallis fans, then let me waffle and say, Go Beavers!)  Regardless, keep it safe and beat Ohio State in January!

Lastly, I would like to give you all a personal invite to our tasting room this Saturday from 12-4. We do tours and tastings every Saturday, but this week we will have a visit from Eugene’s own Devour.  The guys bring the van and whip up some awesome sandwiches.  Grab your hunger and thirst and come on out for lunch.  And, has been long rumored, we will be giving out complimentary tastes with the tour, but will also have pints of Oakshire beers to sell along with bottles, shirts, and hats.  Also come see Dana off as she prepares to head to CA for brewing school.  See ya Saturday!

Cheers

Matt
