"Oops, we have to bump you for Tomme", she says.

If you haven’t seen my 2 minutes and 35 seconds of fame yet, you might click on the following to see a little Interview with Draft Magazine at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival in Denver:

http://news.draftmag.com/2009/10/13/draft-uncapped-interview-with-oakshire-brewing-co-at-gabf-2009/

When my friend Jonathan Surratt of Draft and Beermapping.com asked me to sit in for an interview, I ran right to the booth to chat with the lovely editor in cheif Erika Rietz. However, as I sat down and got miked up, in walks THE Tomme Arthur of Lost Abbey/Port Brewing. Suddenly Erika says,” oh we have to bump you, Tomme just showed up. ” What?? Clearly Erika didn’t quite know who she had in the chair all miked up and ready to go. Since I knew this was likely a 2-3 minute chat (Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head got 5+ minutes- but I noticed he speaks slower than me ;) ) I politely told Erika that my press secretary had me booked for a book signing later that evening. So I hollered over to my friend and colleague Tomme and asked if he would mind if little ‘ol Matt from Oakshire Brewing could take a couple of minutes from his press junket and sneak this quick interview in. He, being the kind soul that he is (and he needed to fill up a beer anyhow) obliged and I had quickie with Draft Magazine.

Watch, enjoy, but don’t laugh. I didn’t get questions prepared ahead of time!

Peace!
